How to reach us?

IDLab iGent is located in the new office tower near the crossing of highways E40 (Oostende- Brussel) and E17 (Antwerpen-Kortrijk/Waregem). The secretariat can be found at floor 10 (in front of the elevators).

By car

Coming from Brussels

• On the E40 take exit 16 ‘Merelbeke / R4’.
• Keep driving on the R4 in the direction of ‘Eeklo R4 Gent’ until the Coco-Cola factory (about 4 km). Take the exit ‘N60 Oudenaarde / Zwijnaarde / Gent’.
• Pass underneath the bridge and immediately turn right. Follow the N60 in the direction of ‘Oudenaarde / Zwijnaarde’.
• Keep driving on the N60 until you are at the roundabout. Follow the roundabout to the left (U-turn before the 2nd traffic lights on the roundabout) and drive back in the direction of Ghent.
• Technologiepark is now on your right. Take a right turn onto the campus.
• Follow the one-way-street until you reach the iGent Tower. This is the last tower, 12 floors high with the solar panels on the full south-facing façade.

Coming from Ostend

• On the E40 take exit ‘Gent - Expo’.
• Follow ‘Expo’ and keep driving on the R4 until exit ‘N60 Oudenaarde’. Go right at the end of the road and follow ‘Oudenaarde’.
• Keep driving on the N60 until you are at the roundabout. Follow the roundabout to the left (U-turn before the 2nd traffic lights on the roundabout) and drive back in the direction of Ghent.
• Technologiepark is now on your right. Take a right turn onto the campus.

Coming from Antwerp

• Follow ‘Kortrijk’ when driving on the E17 in the direction of ‘Gent’. Take exit 8 in Zevergem.
• Go left at the end of the road and keep driving on the N60 in the direction of ‘Gent’.
• Technologiepark is located at the roundabout on your right. Take a right turn onto the campus.
• Technologiepark is now on your right. Take a right turn onto the campus.
• Follow the one-way-street until you reach the iGent Tower. This is the last tower, 12 floors high with the solar panels on the full south-facing façade.

Coming from Kortrijk

• On the E17 take exit 8 in Zevergem. At the end of the road keep driving on the N60 and follow ‘Gent’.
• Technologiepark is located at the roundabout on your right. Take a right turn onto the campus.
• Follow the one-way-street until you reach the iGent Tower. This is the last tower, 12 floors high with the solar panels on the full south-facing façade.

Coming from Ghent

• Take the N60 in the direction of ‘Oudenaarde’.
• Keep driving on the N60 until you are at the roundabout. Follow the roundabout to the left (U-turn before the 2nd traffic lights at the roundabout) and drive back in the direction of Ghent.
• Technologiepark is now on your right. Take a right turn onto the campus.
• Follow the one-way-street until you reach the iGent Tower. This is the last tower, 12 floors high with the solar panels on the full south-facing façade.

By public transport

Several buses drive between Gent Sint-Pieters railway station and Technologiepark: Bus 70, 71 and 72 (‘Tramstraat’)

• Get off at the stop marked 'Bollebergen' at Grote Steenweg Noord.
• Technologiepark is straight in front of you on the other side of the soft verge.
• Walk into the park to the roundabout. You can see the iGent Tower on your left.

Shuttle bus

• The shuttle service between Gent Sint-Pieters and Technologiepark runs every 15 minutes during peak hours (7.30 - 9.30 am and 4.30 - 6.30 pm).
• The site has four stops, including one nearly in front of the iGent Tower (4th stop).

Visitors parking

You can park your car on the Tech Lane Ghent Science park in the open car parks (no barriers), like the one in front of the iGent tower across the road. These car parks have Dutch signs which read "Parkeren uitsluitend met vignet! (overtreding = wielklem)”. This means you should only park there if you have a valid car park permit. You can request such a permit by sending an email to your contact person at iGent. The permit is only valid for a single day, and will need to be placed visibly behind the car's windscreen. Visitors of the AA tower can park in the enclosed car park next to the AA tower. When you are facing the AA tower from the road, the enclosed car park is on your right hand side. You won't need a car park permit, but you will need to ask your host for a pin code to leave the enclosed car park. You'll need this pin code to open the boom barrier of the car park when leaving.
